Costwolds, UK 16.03.2024

 Next stop, Cotswolds, United Kingdom.

Day1 (16th March 2024) 

Next trip is to the Cotswolds and again not solo but of course documented, Saturday morning up early and ready to go! Picked Sarah up at about 8.15am then onto Julie's to pick up Karen, Claire and Julie, sat nav now set to Diddly squat farm which is run and owned by Jeremy Clarkson. 

Took about an hour just over, was a lovely drive despite almost missing a turning, wooppps not used to so many people in my car 😂. Diddly squat was busy already, we got parked, had a quick look round the shop before having the first pint of the day, not realising at this point it was still only 9.45 !!! Oh well we are on holiday. 



Back to the car, nearly drove off with Claire half in and half out 😂 . 45 mins and we arrived at Stow on the Wold, we parked up and went to a cafe for some brekkie, which wasn't that great but Sarah and I loved the sausages. Went into an old sweet shop and down to the tap room to grab a few beers on our way back to the car. Next stop is our cottage (Peters house) in Northleach.


The cottage needed a bit of TLC but all in all it was lovely, and was really cosy. We walked round to the pub for a drink before heading back ready for our Tesco shop to arrive. Once all unpacked we put our pizza in for the evening and chilled out chatting, eating and drinking, it was a lovely evening. 

Day 2 (17th March 2024)

Sunday, once everyone was up between us all we made a lovely fry up and chilled before leaving about 11.30 to go to Bourton on the water, what a lovely village that is ! 


We walked round for a bit before going in the dragonfly maze, that was such good fun trying to find all the clues and going round and round in circles, getting lost! Haha was brilliant!


The sun was out so after that we were gasping ! Went into one of the pubs and had a nice drink before walking back to the car and back to Stow on the wold for our Sunday lunch. Lovely meal in the queen's head, before another little wonder and back to Northleach, showed a guy how you parallel park 😂😂. Once back we went into the wine bar which was lovely, they had some nice craft beers in there. Back at the cottage we all had a lovely evening, non stop nibbles, and watched a couple of films. It was really lovely. 

Day 3 (18th March 2024)

Monday, home time! All up and ready to go by 10.30. Everyone dropped home and I finally got home about 12.30ish, cooked lunch, washing on and fell asleep for a while. All on all, another fab weekend away and with some lovely people!

  Travel day: Sat 20th Sept. 3am and set off to the airport, nice and early as always. Unfortunately I'm still feeling a bit unwell from last weekend but got to keep moving! Only an hour flight from Stansted so not too bad for the early morning, landed in Dublin around 9.45 and managed to find our coach reasonably easy, €10 each single into the city centre. We arrived a bit too early to check in at the hotel but managed to drop our stuff off and go out for a walk round the city. We didn't really have much of a plan, we just found ourselves walking around. Went into a few sports shops and then stumbled across Temple Bar . It wasn’t our plan to go there today but we were there we thought we may as well, had the obligatory pictures for insta of course, walked in then out as it was rammed!  We hadn't eaten yet and it was now 14.00 and we were starving. We didn't want anything too ‘proper’ so managed to find a place with loaded fries and burgers called Fat Phil's Diner ...

Khao Lak, Thailand 21.11.25

  Travel day/ Day 1 - Friday/ Saturday -  21.11.25/ 22.11.25. Due to hurricane Malissa in Jamaica we had to change destination, we chose to go to the other side of the world to Thailand.. Long arse 12 hr flight, got here at 7am Thai time, very overcast and showers, however this did not make any odds to us as is super humid and 26+ degrees, such a lovely hotel, it is our 1 year together anniversary on 24th Nov so even more special, only been here a day and we love it! Rain or shine doesn't make any odds to us ❤️💚. Once we checked in and got to our room we unpacked, the room was lovely, very spacious, the bed was massive! I needed a taxi to get over to Chris’s side 😂, we had a balcony that overlooked the swimming pool, large bathroom, was just right, we then rested for a couple of hours before going to get some food, the restaurant is different to normal all inclusive as you don't go up to a buffet for lunch and dinner, you order from the menu what you would like, you can do t...

Wales, UK 17.10.25

  Travel Day - Penybont,Wales 17.10.25 Just a small, short post as something a bit different for us this time, a relaxing, do nothing weekend at a cabin in the middle of nowhere in Wales.It was just what the doctor ordered, well needed. There isn’t much to write really for this post as I say because we did nothing but relax in the hot tub, watch a few films and relax. I would though like to 100% recommend this lodge out of season being October and only cost us £260 Fri - Mon. We ordered a Tesco shop to the cabin to do us for the weekend, we had everything we needed. We cooked a few wintery, homely dinners in the slow cooker and relaxed with a few proseccos in the hot tub. We booked through Hoseasons and it was called Valley view lodge, 2 bedrooms, bathroom, living and dining area, plenty big enough for two couples. Ready for another relaxing time in Jamaica, roll on November.
