1st May 2025 – Travel Day to Oslo

Our flight was meant to leave at 07:35, but we ended up facing a 3-hour delay and didn’t take off until 10:25. To soften the blow, we were given a grand total of... £3 in vouchers—barely enough for a coffee!

We finally landed in Oslo at 13:30, which, in a way, worked out well since we could check into our hotel right away. After a much-needed nap, we headed out for a walk to BrewDog before making our way to the street food market, where I had a delicious chicken gyros.

Rounding off the evening with a drink at The Dubliner pub, then back to the hotel to watch the Man Utd game before calling it a night.

2nd May 2025 – Exploring Oslo

Had a great night's sleep and were up and out by 9am for a packed day of sightseeing. We started with a 2-hour walking tour of Oslo followed by a 2-hour boat trip around the beautiful Oslo Fjord—such a scenic way to take in the city.

After returning to the city centre, we stopped at Sir Winston’s for a quick drink and then headed to Proud Mary’s for dinner. It's a cool spot with quirky artwork, and I had a fantastic burger there—definitely recommend it.

3rd May 2025 – A More Relaxed Day

Took it easy today after all the walking yesterday. Had a bit of a lie-in and made it out around 10:30. Strolled over to the Royal Palace, then relaxed in the nearby park for a while—it was nice to just sit and soak up the atmosphere.

Later, we visited one of Oslo’s oldest pubs, Lorry, which had a great historic vibe. For lunch, we went to Den Glade Gris and had the pork knuckle—it was absolutely amazing, definitely a highlight of the trip so far.

In the evening, we headed back out and walked to the top of the Oslo Opera House. The views from up there were stunning, and to our surprise, there were salsa lessons happening on the rooftop! It was really fun to watch and added a lively touch to the evening.

We then set off in search of somewhere to eat and ended up at a great bar right on the waterfront called Salt. It had a really good vibe—laid-back, cool music, and plenty of seating. We enjoyed a few drinks there before ordering some food. I couldn’t resist another gyros—this time a mix of pork and chicken—and it was bloody yummy.
